Albedo - PQS1 - PAR Quantum Sensor
The light plays an essential role in plant growth. The absorption of light (mainly by chlorophyll) stimulates photosynthesis, whereby carbon dioxide and water are photochemically converted into glucose and oxygen. The light, which can use a plant for this process, is called Photosyntetically Active Radiation (PAR).
McCree in 1972 determined a standardized PAR range of visible light between 400 nm and 700 nm wavelength, in which each photon is absorbed in the same way. "Blue" photons with a short wavelength (higher frequency) have more energy than "red" photon with a longer wavelength. The quantity of PAR is commonly known as photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) and appearing in mol / m²: s words.
In the agricultural sector, careful control of the light intensity is required to optimize the harvest time and harvest quality in greenhouses.
In forestry, the PAR-quantity plays a crucial role. You can be in the middle and measured under the canopy to determine valuable data on plant physiology and foliage.
In agriculture, the measurement of PAR radiation in making projections of plant growth and crop yields helps.
The albedo PQS1 PAR Quantum Sensor is designed for accurate, continuous measurement of PAR radiation outdoors and indoors. Its rugged design protects it from harsh environmental conditions all over the world and from the effects of pesticides.
The mounting flange is provided with a spirit level and leveling feet for easy leveling. There is a threaded bore for screwing the optional mounting rod for attachment to pylons. The standard cable length is 5 m, optional 15 m available.
For field applications where the measured values to be displayed in real time, the albedo PQS1 can be connected to the METEON which also functions as a data logger.
At fixed locations the albedo PQS1 can be connected to a data logger.
