Product information "Pyrradiometer"

The device consists of a solid measuring body made of light metal with 2 drying containers and a half-grip. The two blackened receiver surfaces are located on the upper and lower side of the measuring body. Each of the two receiver surfaces is shielded by a lupole dome and is sealed by a screw ring and an O-ring. Two cans are used for horizontal alignment. The heavy version of the fitting gives the Pyrradiometer great thermal inertia.

Each Pyrradiometer is equipped with a Pt100 electrical resistance thermometer to measure the block temperature. This temperature is the reference temperature for the measurement of the radiation currents from the upper and lower half-spaces. Since these radiation currents are measured thermoelectrically, that is, based on the measurement of a temperature difference, the reference temperature must be known for the inactive solder joints, that is the block temperature. It may deviate from the ambient temperature. If only the radiation balance is to be measured, the determination of the block temperature may be omitted.
