On a transparent, coated with a weather-resistant glue adhesive sheet particulate air admixtures are deposited. The particles remain on the surface stick. In the conventional sample period of a few days, the particles lie on the adhesive film front isolated.
The total mass of the deposited particles is determined by differential weighing of the film before and after exposure. Taking into account the film surface and the exposure duration is obtained as the measurement result of the mass deposition rate.
Due to their morphological, geometrical and optical properties of particles following groups can be distinguished:
1. Mostly transparent inorganic constituents
a) Mineral particles of natural origin (eg soil minerals)
b) inorganic particles of anthropogenic origin (eg industrial dusts, abrasion or secondary education)
2. Transparent biogenic ingredients of natural origin,
3. Mostly non-transparent components of anthropogenic origin (eg soot particles. Fly ash, tire wear).
