Sling psychrometer

The Sling psychrometer used to reliably determine the relative humidity.

It consists of:

• a 260 mm long, 18 mm wide, U-shaped bent aluminum sheet with ventilation slits, injected in aluminum color,
• a double thermometer holder with rubber mounting and mounting thumbscrews,
• two radiation protection tubes with divider for thermometer bulbs,
• one mounted on the U-rail PVC handle and
• each a dry and a wet spin thermometer with a graduation of 0.5 k.

The requisite for psychrometric measurement of air ventilation is achieved by circulating centrifugal movement. Here, a ventilation is of approximately v = 5 m / s reached to the thermometers.

The temperature values of the dry and the wet thermometer used to determine the relative humidity by means of a graphical table.
