laser-optical precipitation gauges
Laser-optical precipitation gauges are multifunctional laser-optical distrometers for the highest demands. These devices have integrated disk heating and work according to the extinction principle. This means that the precipitation particles are measured on the basis of the shadowing they cause when they pass a laser band. From the raw data, precipitation type, precipitation amount and intensity, visibility in precipitation, precipitation kinetic energy and equivalent radar reflectivity are calculated.
Measurement parameters:
Precipitation type, intensity, drop size distribution, radar reflectivity.
Measurement technology:
Laser optical
Product Highlights:
Classification of the measured precipitation in 32 classes for particle size and velocity.
Interfaces:
SDI-12/RS485, pulse output
